The focus of todays blog is Love is not proud in 1 Corinthians 13:4.
Pride has other synonyms such as boastful, pompous and arrogant.
The words above is not how God wants us to show love to ourselves and others. Instead, God wants us to have humility in love which will be the focus of this blog.
.
There are various Bible verses on humility somw of which are as follows:
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2
For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Luke 14:11
True love should never be defined by feelings of pride . When it comes to relationships, being prideful can quickly destroy trust, intimacy, and respect. Being boastful can lead to severe consequences such as breakup, infidelity, disconnection or divorce.
On the other hand, a relationship based on humble love fosters a strong bond and creates a secure, healthy environment for both people involved. Love is a humble commitment to make the needs of others a priority.
As Christians, we must learn to love humbly and be aware of our actions in all circumstances. Love is not just a feeling; it’s an attitude, a way of life. By displaying humble love, we can impact our lives and the lives of those around us in powerful and positive ways.
Sending love
Sylvia.
